Labels
Labels are coloured tags that can be assigned to members (and bots) in a server. They are cosmetic only — they do not grant any permissions. Use them to identify groups of members, and optionally to control channel access.
The @everyone Label
Every server has a built-in @everyone label that is automatically assigned to all members. You cannot delete or unassign it. It's useful for granting channel access to all members at once in private or restricted channels.
Creating Labels
Requires Admin or Owner tier.
- Go to Server Settings → Labels.
- Click Create Label.
- Give it a name and pick a colour.
- Save.
Labels are displayed next to member names in the member list and in messages.
Assigning Labels to Members
Requires Admin or Owner tier.
- Open the member list on the right side of the screen.
- Right-click the member → Assign Labels.
- Check or uncheck labels from the list.
Changes take effect immediately.
Assigning Labels to Bots
Bots can also have labels assigned to them, which is useful for giving them access to private or restricted channels.
- Open the member list — bots appear in a separate Bots section.
- Right-click the bot → Assign Labels.
- Check or uncheck labels.
Using Labels for Channel Access
Labels integrate with channel access modes. For private and restricted write channels, you can whitelist a label rather than adding users one by one.
Example: Create a staff label, assign it to your team members and moderation bots, then set your staff channel to private with the staff label whitelisted. Anyone you add the label to will automatically gain access.
Configure this in Server Settings → Channels → Edit Channel → Access.
